Single-port valves are designed for applications that do not require a separate port for cleaning/sterilizing.

The valve would be cleaned/sterilized by opening it during the CIP/SIP of the tank or pipe.

Furthermore, the valve can be used for closed sampling systems that can be pre-sterilized (e.g. by

autoclaving), before installing it on the tank/pipe.

When used for less-demanding sampling applications, single-port valves would replace sampling cocks or

similar non-hygienic valves.

on the following pages.
